Light Design
The modern lighting design adds to the fun and friendly-looking appearance of the new ID. Buzz Cargo. With the optional Keyless Advance feature, as soon as you approach the vehicle with the car key, you will be greeted with a friendly “wink” as its optional LED matrix headlights swing up electrically from below and light up.
With the "Coming & Leaving Home function", the ID. Buzz Cargo brings light to the dark, too. When you approach the vehicle or leave it, the optional LED matrix headlights and a light projection make the way visible. The innovative lighting technology of the ID. Buzz Cargo provides highlights in everyday work.
Infotainment
With a digital cockpit, internet connectivity and mobile online services - the new ID. Buzz Cargo makes your everyday work easier with the latest technology.
The App-Connect function allows music, audio books or news to be conveniently transferred from your smartphone to the 25.4 cm (10-inch) color touch display of the infotainment system, with which you can operate numerous functions, such as DAB+ -Radio.
In addition to the optional wireless smartphone charging pad compartment, the new ID. Buzz Cargo offers up to five USB-C ports that can charge additional devices.
Cargo area
Compact dimensions, plenty of loading volume, and fully electric is the definition of the future of commercial mobility with the ID. Buzz Cargo.
Due to the MEB platform, the new ID. Buzz Cargo offers maximum loading space on a small footprint. Two Euro pallets loaded sideways can be accommodated, with the overall loading volume of the ID. Buzz Cargo up to 3.9 cubic meters5.
The fixed partition between the driver's cab and the loading space can be fitted with a window and a loading opening if required, while two sliding side doors make loading even more convenient and flexible.
In addition, the new ID. Buzz Cargo combines high loading capacity with great manoeuvrability. The small turning circle of just 11.09 metres is ideal when working on the narrow streets of the big city.

Over-the-air updates
Software updates increase the functionality of the digital systems of your ID. Buzz Cargo. These can be regularly updated and optimised thanks to over-the-air updates6 using We Connect7.
There’s no need to visit the workshop with the over-the-air updates6, which are sent to and downloaded in the background via the mobile network of your ID. Buzz Cargo.
As soon as an update is available, a message appears in the infotainment system and you are guided through the individual steps to installation.
While your ID. Buzz Cargo parks – let’s say overnight - the full installation takes place and you can enjoy updated and improved functions the next time you start it. This lets you stay up to date and benefit from our cutting edge digital development even after you have purchased your ID. Buzz Cargo.
Car2X
Vehicles can communicate with each other in road traffic and warn each other of local danger spots. Car2X technology expands the range of a vehicle’s sensors many times over by including information from other road and infrastructure users to assess the current overall situation. Smart software and electronics increase safety to a new level. An example of this is the “Local Warnings” service. The ID. models communicate with each other in a range of 800 metres within milliseconds. Thanks to their numerous sensors, the electric vehicles quickly detect potential hazards – and automatically warn other road users in the vicinity via a Wi-Fi radio signal.
Assistance systems
The ID. Buzz Cargo is ready today for the mobility of tomorrow. For the first time in a commercial vehicle from Volkswagen, smart assistance systems range from automatic parking, local warning and hazard messages (Car2X), and the latest version of the optional Travel Assist with swarm data8. This system can help to keep you in lane, maintain the distance to the vehicle in front and the maximum speed you have set. The Travel Assist adapts to your driving style and can also adjust your driving position further to the left or further to the right in your own lane8 instead of being exactly in the middle.
In addition, Travel Assist actively supports you with swarm data on the motorway when changing lanes8 If swarm data is available, the Travel Assist only has to rely on one recognised lane boundary to stay in lane, for example on country roads without lane markings in the middle8. In addition, the Travel Assist has predictive cruise control and cornering assistance. The vehicle speed can be adjusted to the applicable speed limits and the course of the road (curves, roundabouts, etc.)8.
The optional ‘IQ. Light’ LED matrix headlights matrix headlights also act with foresight. In combination with the optional Light Assist, they automatically fade up and down when driving at night before other road users are dazzled9. Innovative and fully connected, the ID. 1. All vehicles are tested according to WLTP technical procedures. 3. The Plug-in Van Grant (PIVG) is a grant currently offered by the Office for Zero emission Vehicles (OZEV) to eligible manufacturers to promote the purchase of ultra low emission vehicles. The ID. Buzz Cargo is currently pending eligibility approval for this scheme. If the ID. Buzz Cargo becomes eligible for the PiVG, then customers purchasing an ID. Buzz Cargo will receive 35% off the purchase price, up to a maximum of £5,000 (subject to an overall limit of 1000 van or truck grants per business or organisation, across all manufacturers, each year being 1 April – 31 March. Your authorised Volkswagen Van Centre will submit the details of your order online in order to claim the grant funding. The grant is subject to full T&Cs and eligibility requirements. For more information, please contact your authorised Volkswagen Van Centre or visit www.gov.uk/plug-in-car-van-grants/overview. 6. For over-the-air updates, the vehicle has to be online and connected to the internet. In addition, a valid We Connect contract is required.
7. To use We Connect services, you need a Volkswagen ID user account and must log in to We Connect with your user name and password. A separate We Connect contract or We Connect Plus contract will also need to be made online with Volkswagen AG. For We Connect Plus you have 90 days after the handover of the vehicle to register the vehicle on www.portal.volkswagen-we.com and can use services free during this time. We Connect Plus is free of charge for the first year when you order Composition Colour or Discover Media navigation system. There is an extra charge in the event of renewal once the free period has expired.The Streaming & Internet package is only available in conjunction with the optional Discover Pro navigation system. The Lock & Unlock service is a security feature and requires a prior identity check by means of the Volkswagen ID procedure. This involves your identity being checked by a Volkswagen dealer or via video chat.
8. The driver assist function can only be used within the limits of the system. The driver must be prepared at all times to override the assistance systems and is in no way released from the responsibility to drive the vehicle carefully. The process can be deactivated at any time. The system can be used up to the maximum speed of the vehicle. Only in combination with a navigation system. Only in combination with an active We Connect licence. The online components of Travel Assist with mass location data can only be used within the mobile network coverage and with corresponding privacy settings. The online component can be deactivated at any time in the We Connect ID. app. The online component of Travel Assist is available in the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom. To activate the online functions you need a Volkswagen ID user account and must log in with your user name and password to We Connect. You must also conclude a separate We Connect contract online with Volkswagen AG. After delivery of the vehicle, you have 90 days to activate the online function of Travel Assist with mass location data. After this period expires, the initial 3-year use period of the online component of Travel Assist with mass location data (free of charge) begins. The online component of Travel Assist with mass location data is enabled via an integrated internet connection. The data costs incurred within Europe as part of network coverage are borne by Volkswagen AG. Depending on your mobile phone tariff, data exchange over the Internet may incur additional charges (e.g. roaming charges), particularly if you are using the service abroad. In order to provide the service, certain personal data such as the location and IP address of the vehicle must be transmitted. Further information on data processing can be found in the privacy policy for Travel Assist with mass location data. The availability of the individual services described in the packages may vary in individual countries. These services are available for the duration of the agreed contract period and may be subject to changes of content or even terminated during the contract period. 10. Total recommended price of the vehicle includes VAT & OTR. On the Road (OTR) includes: First Registration Fee, Delivery to Van Centre, Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) and Number Plates. Pricing subject to change including in the event of change in the applicable VED or VAT rates. Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles may change RRPs at any time (this includes where there are government changes in regulation and/or legislation). There may be a delay to any RRP displaying correctly on our materials. Always obtain prices from your chosen Van Centre. From 1 April 2020, the official CO2 emissions values used to calculate Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) charges changed for all passenger carrier registrations in the UK, due to a change in the method of testing. This will affect the recommended 'on the road' price you pay (in most circumstances, prices will increase). Choice of wheels and other options may affect fuel consumption and emissions data (which may affect the amount of VED payable and therefore the ROTR price). Please consult your local Van Centre for details of VED charges and recommended 'on the road' prices applicable to passenger carriers registered after 1 April 2020.
