Design

Even good things ​get better

Full-width bumpers, exciting new colours such as Dark Olivine Green Metallic, together with sophisticated front details, perfectly give the new ID.3 a fresh new face without losing the iconic look of the ID. family. The bonnet features a sharper profile and demonstrates that even good design can always get better. - for example with newly designed tail light clusters with optional dynamic turn signals are another striking example. The innovative IQ.LIGHT LED-matrix-headlights further highlight this impression.

Heavenly views

With a large glass panel that stretches over the entire width of the roof, the optional glass roof is an eye-catching feature in itself. Even more appeal- ing: an unobstructed view of the sky above. The tinted glass also ensures pleasant temperatures in the vehicle. The sun blind protects against strong sunlight and can also be conveniently operated via voice control. For example, simply say: "Hello ID., show me the stars" and the sun blind opens.

Note: Glass roof is not available in conjunction with the 77kWh battery.

The Exterior package

The ID.3 already impresses with its futuristic appearance. The Exterior package takes this one step further: The LED-matrix-headlights light up the world for us without blinding other road users. The LED tail light clusters with dynamic turn signal ensure stylish turning off manoeuvres and the tinted windows at the back provide more privacy.

The Exterior package contains the following:

• LED matrix headlights with automatic lighting control, poor weather light, and welcome function
• LED tail light clusters with dynamic turn signal
• Illuminated strip between the headlights
• Tinted rear window and rear side windows

The Exterior package "plus"

The new Exterior package "Plus" provides you with a completely new sense of space in your ID.3. In addition to the contents of the exterior package, the package also features a large glass area that extends over almost the entire roof width. The tinted glass also ensures pleasant temperatures in the vehicle. The sun blind protects against strong sunlight and can also be conveniently operated via voice control. Welcome to the space miracle

The new ID.3 is combines spaciousness with compact dimensions: The typically long wheelbase of electric vehicles offers greater stability while also allowing an interior with an intelligent design distinguished by outstanding variability and flexibility.

In addition to the spaciousness, new surfaces such as those on the dash panel and the door trim also contribute to the high-quality ambience in the new ID.3. This all ensures that you enjoy every single moment of your journey.

Make yourself comfortable!

Sustainable with no animal products

Quiet running characterises electric vehicles. The optional electric seats in the new ID.3 enhance the relaxed drive with an additional massage function. Plus, high-qualityfabrics could ensure the desired durability.

The interior of the new ID.3 is made entirely without animal products as standard and also contains numerous recycled materials. For example, the headliner and floor mats are made of polyethersulfone (PES), a plastic made from recycled PET bottles. The seat covers or door trims are primarily made of recycled material. Like its predecessor, you can also enjoy a carbon-neutral delivery of your new ID.3.

Keeps track for you. And the others at a distance.

At Volkswagen, IQ.DRIVE stands for all intelligent driver assistance systems.

With the optional Travel Assist you have an extremely useful driving assistant on board. It can keep you in your lane, maintain a minimum distance to the vehicle in front and the maximum speed you have set.

One of the features it uses to do this is adaptive lane guidance. This actively keeps the vehicle in the middle of the lane. Travel Assist adapts to your driving style and can also drive further to the left or right in its own lane instead of exactly in the middle.

In addition, Travel Assist can actively support you when changing lanes on the motorway if desired.

If swarm data is available, Travel Assist needs to recognise only one road lane marking in order to keep the vehicle in its lane.

In addition, Travel Assist has predictive cruise control and cornering assistance.

The vehicle speed can therefore be adapted to the applicable speed limits and road layouts (bends, roundabouts etc.).

Can act if you don't react.

If you no longer show any driving activity as a result of a medical emergency, the optional Emergency Assist can register this and attempt to reactivate you. If it is unsuccessful in doing so, it can bring the vehicle to a controlled stop within the system limits and can thus prevent an accident if necessary.

Convenient charging

Charging with your Volkswagen ID. model is now even more convenient: with Plug & Charge, the new standard for convenient charging. All you need is the ID. software 3.1 or higher, the We Connect ID. app plus a Plug & Charge-enabled We Charge rate. Then you simply pull up at the Plug & Charge charging station, activate Plug & Charge via the app and in the vehicle and plug in the charging cable. The registration, charging and invoicing are all automatic. Then you continue your drive and relaxation.
