That's why when you buy a new passenger car from an authorised Volkswagenretailer in the UK we'll provide a comprehensive warranty to cover you against defects and repairs for the first three years. This is made up of:
This means you're covered for a total of 3 years or up to 60,000 miles, whichever comes first. Exclusions apply throughout, so please read our Terms and Conditions.
Continued protection, years down the road. If your existing warranty is about to expire, or if you haven’t already got a warranty in place, an Extended Warranty with a range of cover options could ensure your peace of mind. You can purchase an Extended Warranty from as little as £140* per year.
With Volkswagen Extended Warranty, all warranty repairs are completed in a Volkswagen Approved Repairer by Volkswagen Trained Technicians, using only Volkswagen Approved Parts. Should you need to make a claim on your Volkswagen Extended Warranty simply take your vehicle and Confirmation of Cover to your nearest Marshall Volkswagen Approved Repairer.

There's no need to worry about running out of cover. Simply buy a Volkswagen Extended Warranty and you can enjoy warranty cover for a further year.

The minimum 2 year warranty that you receive as part of the Approved Used car programme provides real peace of mind. All Approved Used Volkswagens come with a warranty2, so whatever your budget, you can relax in the knowledge that you are covered.
With All Components warranty, you are covered for the costs (limited to parts and labour inclusive of VAT up to the maximum claim limit) of repairing or replacing the covered components below that have suffered sudden electrical or mechanical failure occurring within the area of cover and during the period of cover.
Electrical and mechanical failure includes failure due to wear and tear for the first 100,000 miles from first registration under the warranty section of this cover, damage by water ingress and consequential failure, limited to £5,000 per claim inclusive of VAT for the latter.

When you buy a car, you want to know that it’s built to go the distance. At Volkswagen, we’re so confident in the quality of our engineering that all of our electric cars come with an eight years or 100,000 miles/160,000km high voltage battery warranty (whichever is soonest) on all material or manufacturing defects. The warranty applies to all pure electric cars (ID.3, ID.4, ID.5 and ID.7).
Gradual reduction in high voltage battery capacity over time is integral to the nature of the component, and does not represent a defect under the terms of this guarantee, as long as the reduction in capacity does not fall below 70% of the vehicle’s battery capacity at first registration (as measured by a Volkswagen authorised repairer).
With the exception of the warranty term, all warranty conditions stipulated by the Volkswagenretailer selling the vehicle (prerequisites, criteria for freedom from defects, exclusions, settlement of claims, entry into force and start of extended warranty term, scope of application etc.) also apply to the high voltage battery. Additional electric car warranties: All of our electric cars have a 3-year/60,000 miles warranty (whichever is soonest), for defects and repairs, a 3-year paintwork warranty and a 12-year body protection warranty.

When you purchase All-in from Volkswagen3, you’ll get up to two year’s Warranty provided by Volkswagen UK and administered by VolkswagenFinancialServices. This Warranty has been designed to cover the costs of repairing or replacing the covered components that have suffered a sudden electrical or mechanical failure during the period of cover (excludes no-claim period). Further details are available in the terms and conditions.
If your vehicle’s previous Volkswagen UK or VolkswagenFinancialServices warranty expired over 30 days ago, then you won’t be able to claim in the first 30 days of your All-in Warranty (a “no-claim period”). Effectively, you’ll have 23 months where you can make a claim on your warranty.
The All-in Warranty does not cover any vehicle already covered under any other guarantee, insurance, warranty and/or gesture of goodwill.
