The phenomenally powerful Audi RS5 takes everything that’s great about the A5 coupé and convertible, and pumps it full of steroids. On sale from 2010 to 2015, it’s the most powerful A5 you can buy.
The RS 5 thunders to 60mph in under five seconds, thanks to its explosive 4.2-litre V8 engine and Audi quattro all-wheel drive system. Torque vectoring and plenty of other under-the-skin upgrades improve the handling and braking too.
When you’re not driving like a barely-tamed racing driver, you remember that it’s ultimately still an A5. It’s a comfortable long-distance cruiser for four, exquisitely built and has a spacious boot that’s unusually practical for a car so overtly sporty.
