With a wealth of innovation to flaunt across several enhanced and all-new models, BMW have blown away audiences at the Paris Motor Show.
The stunning BMW Concept X2 has been unveiled as a cornerstone for the brand, pushing boundaries within the compact segment; combining the robust engineering of an X model alongside the low proportions of a coupe, the Concept X2 is a whole new design language. With a long wheelbase, short overhangs, stretched roofline and forward-slanting C-pillar, the X2 has an undeniably sporty aesthetic, offset by X-series staples of large wheels and a two-box formation. Opening the door to further developments, the BMW Concept X2 invites a fresh take on the previous artistic palette of BMW blueprints.
The new BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo was also introduced in Paris this week, with a sportier silhouette than its predecessor and new engine line-up, featuring a higher power output and lower fuel consumption. Both elegant and spacious, the 3 Series Gran Turismo boasts a new interface for the Navigation system ‘Professional’, with improved connectivity which was previously only seen in BMW’s luxury-class vehicles.
Lastly, the latest generation of the BMW i3 was also available to preview at the event. Already an international favourite, BMW’s premium electric car is now available with an extra 50% of driving range, offering 300 kilometres per charge from its higher-energy-density lithium-ion battery cells. In addition, BMW’s intelligent ChargeNow feature allows convenient repowering via card and app, allowing customers to access over 40,000 public charging points across 25 countries.
