Set to be a standard addition in all BMW and MINI cars produced from mid-2018, Alexa’s voice-activated services allow for an unparalleled level of control to your everyday world – straight from the driver’s seat. Although voice-activated technology is already a mainstay for BMW, Alexa promises to bring a whole new element to ConnectedDrive services; thousands of skills that are currently seen on Amazon Echo devices will be available from behind the wheel, including scheduling appointments, consulting route information and remote access of fuel and battery information.
Better yet, you don’t even need to have a Smartphone in order to enjoy Alexa’s services; a built-in SIM card is available in all BMW models, as well as selected MINIs.
Communication doesn’t need to be complex.
