To commemorate Marco Whittmann’s triumph at the Hockenheimring, BMW have released the M4 DTM Champion Edition. Featuring prestige motorsport drive and suspension technology, a gallant power output of 500hp and torque of 600Nm are just a couple of the treats that auto racing fans have in store.
Sharing much of its DNA with DTM racing cars, the Champion Edition shoots from zero to 62mph in an exhilarating 3.8 seconds, with a top speed limited to 190mph. Advanced water injection technology is also featured in the straight six-speed power unit, much like the BMW M4 GTS – a vehicle hailed as the fastest production BMW in history.
Available exclusively in crisp Alpine White, the Champion Edition stays true to its racing roots; the shape of the additional foiling instantly rings true to the DTM cars of BMW Motorsport origin. With regard to safety and comfort, the latest model has it all – a BMW Professional Navigation system, air conditioning, adaptive LED headlights with a glare-free high beam assistant, OLED taillights, Park Distance Control and automatically dimming interior and exterior mirrors. The full specification is yet to be announced, but the initial highlights are already promising an exceptional motorsport experience, with all the conveniences of road driving.
