Blending signature SUV style with more sporting finesse than ever before, the new BMW X3 has upped the ante for winter 2017.
The third incarnation of the X3 maintains its muscular silhouette and packs a punch beneath the bonnet; a new 2.0-litre petrol engine joins the line-up, alongside its diesel mainstay. In a bold new move for the X3, the bar will be lifted even higher with the inclusion on an M Performance variant – the M40i. Boasting a 3.0-litre six-cylinder powertrain, a massive 360hp is generated between the M40i’s haunches, producing a peak torque of 500 Nm, a top speed of 155 mph and a shot from 0 to 62mph in just 4.8 seconds.
Cutting no corners, the BMW X3 brings safety to the fore with a host of driver assistance systems; a new BMW CoPilot system includes Active Cruise Control and Driving Assistant Plus (steering and lane control assistant, Lane Change Assistant and Lane Keeping Assistant with side collision protection). The BMW X3 puts feasibility into the fast lane, with performance and protection rubbing shoulders for the definitive drive.
The new BMW X3 will be available from 11th November 2017, priced from £38,800 OTR.
