The new eActros. Charged & Ready. | Available now at Marshall Mercedes-Benz Truck

More than just a truck.

Sustainable, future-oriented, driven by innovation and quiet: that’s the first all-electric truck from Mercedes-Benz. But the eActros is more that just a truck. It is part of the integrated eActros solution which, in addition to the truck and its conventional services, also includes new eConsulting and innovative digital solutions – all of which bring us a little closer to the target of zero local emissions.

Advantages for you

The key to CO² neutral transport. Benefit every step of the way with low-noise, locally emission-free driving and our expert knowledge in setting up charging infrastructure.

Real-life sustainability.

Our aim is to achieve CO²-neutral transport. With the eActros, we’re on the right track – and our integrated solution goes much further than just the truck itself.

Maximised usability.

Anyone who doesn’t want to get the most out of every journey, needn’t bother starting the journey in the first place. We’ll help you make full use of the eActros.

Tailor-made turnkey charging solution.

With everything from the connection to the electrical grid to charging planning and management, we will be happy to help you every step of the way.

Optimised total cost of ownership.

Incredible driving experience.

The eActros is noticeably different. Its electric axle with two engines and two-speed transmission turn every journey into a true experience.

Sustainability runs in our veins

In order to make our contribution to this global aim, we have laid out clear objectives for achieving a CO²-neutral transport industry. eMobility is our key to reaching sustainability and, thanks to the new eActros, we’re already living it out today: local CO² neutrality.

Towards CO²-neutral production

Sustainability doesn’t stop at an eTruck. Reducing CO² is a much bigger picture than that. That’s why we intend to have all European Daimler plants producing CO²-neutrally from 2022 or for them to have CO²-neutral energy supplies. Across all German locations, an electricity contract will additionally ensure that al Daimler Truck AG locations cover their entire energy requirements with renewable electricity from wind, solar and water power.

More power thanks to the ePowertrain

In a direct comparison, the eActros is as much as twice as efficient as a diesel truck. It achieves this by using its energy efficiently with the aid of the ePowertrain and the recuperation function (with which especially high levels of energy can be recovered during deceleration phases). The tailor-made electric truck solution focusses on heavy-duty short-radius distribution in urban areas and is truly impressive thanks to its optimised drivetrain weight, increased efficiency and low-noise driving. The eAxle used has two separate electric motors and delivers a peak output of 400 kW

Resource-friendly energy savings aren't just dependent on the efficiency of the drivetrain, but also to a large degree on the driving style and behaviour of the driver.

Charging process

Filling stations are replaced by charging stations. The standardised charging system makes charging the eActros as intuitive as possible: apply the parking brake, connect the CCS Combo 2 plug to the vehicles charge socket (it locks automatically), and the charging process can start!

With a charging capacity of 160 kW the eActros charges from 20 to 80% in just over an hour (with three bottles) and in around an hour and a half (with four batteries)*. Among other factors, the average charging time depends on the ambient temperature and the vehicle temperature, the charge level of the batteries and the charging capacity of the charging station. To stop the electrical charging process, press the stop button next to the charge socket to release the vehicle.

Assistance systems to improve safety

It goes without saying that the eActros comes as standard with proven assistance systems from Mercedes-Benz Trucks to assist drivers, especially in urban areas: from Stability Control Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Attention Assist and Safeguard Assist to Active Brake Assist 5, tyre pressure monitoring and Roll Control Assist**.

The cab will also be equipped with a new fire detection and alarm system with which drivers can be warned in good time of an emergency. Because we want to make heavy urban short-radius distribution safe and efficient.
