Over the next 5 years SKODA is investing £1.8 billion in alternative driving systems and new mobility platforms. By the end of 2022, we plan to deliver a number of new iV electrified models to fit our ‘Green Future’ initiative. We have already trained 11,000 of our colleagues (and counting) in electric vehicle production.
‘Green Future’ is our initiative to build a more sustainable future for SKODA and you, our customers. We have set ambitious targets to reduce our environmental impact in the decade p to 2025, including reducing the C02 production of our fleet by 30%. Electric is the future.
Introducing the new generation of electric vehicles from SKODA. Available from early 2020.
Buying an electric car is a big change. Here are some of the reasons you might want to make it your next choice.
The SKODA SUPERB iV is our first model with a plug-in hybrid powertrain, combining the best of electric and conventional SKODA technology for an eco-friendly yet dynamic drive. The brilliant SKODA SUPERB, only more so.
The SKODA SUPERB iV bodywork has been refreshed, with discreetly remodelled bumpers, new full-LED matrix headlights that automatically alter to avoid dazzling other drivers, and full-LED taillights with dynamic indicators. The iconic SKODA grille has also been widened and blended with the new slimmer headlights for a sleeker and more sophisticated look.
Driving Mode Select offers three different settings: SPORT mode, E-mode and HYBRID mode. SPORT mode provides the maximum power output of 160kW (218PS) and 400Nm of toque. In E-mode, the SKODA SUPERB iV is powered exclusively by the battery. In HYBRID mode, the electronics optimise the balance between the petrol engine and the electric motor.
Producing less than 65g of C02 per mile*, the SKODA SUPERB iV has a range of 34 miles** on electric power alone*** and more than 525 miles when combined with the 1.4 litre TSI petrol engine.
Our online mobile service enables remote access to your ŠKODA SUPERB iV, including charging management and climate control.
The Amundsen navigation system comes as standard with an 8 inch display, always on data and real time traffic guidance, while the optional Columbus system brings a 9.2 inch display, Virtual Cockpit and gesture control functionality.
SmartLink technology allows enables smartphone apps to be controlled via the infotainment system’s display using Android Auto and MirrorLink™.
