Following in the footsteps of 2009’s European Car of the Year, the new Vauxhall Insignia has been dubbed the Grand Sport; set to exceed all previous standards, the new model sets a fresh tone for creative design, with a graceful silhouette and sporting dynamics, alongside the DNA of a large coupe.
Up to 175kg lighter than its predecessor, the Grand Sport includes a host of advanced driving features, including a new all-wheel drive with torque vectoring for enviable power transfer, while an eight-speed automatic transmission allows for perfect gear shifts.
New technology is set to include a next-generation IntelliLux Matrix LED headlights, as well as extended Vauxhall OnStar service; this intelligent connectivity and service assistant will offer such essential aids as Automatic Crash Response and Stolen Vehicle Assistance, as well as convenient touches like automated hotel booking. With connectivity of up to seven devices via the Grand Sport’s Wi-Fi hotspot, that’s a lot of super-functional and time-saving options to keep time on the road as efficient as possible.
