Ready to make the cost of buying a new car more affordable than ever, Vauxhall have re-introduced their Scrappage Allowance Scheme; customers can claim up to £2,000 towards a new Vauxhall when they trade in their old vehicle for scrap, while still taking advantage of the brand’s excellent finance deals.
Running from the 15th of November, customers can use the Scheme against any Vauxhall registered before 31st of December 2016, including the new Astra, Mokka, Mokka X, GTC, Zafira Tourer, Insignia and Cascada models. This excellent offer doesn’t just benefit customers, either; when Vauxhall ran the campaign last year, it resulted in the scrappage of over 15,000 vehicles which were older and therefore less efficient than the cars which replaced them on the road. This not only helps to take care of the environment, but assists the industry in meeting its 95% recovery target.
A classic car ‘safety-net’ is also in place for those manufactured before 1991, ensuring that valued vehicles are not entirely lost from circulation. Autogreen, Vauxhall’s recycling partner, will inform the brand’s Luton HQ when eligible cars are presented through the scheme, giving relevant owner’s clubs a notification and invitation to purchase parts though the Authorised Treatment Facility.
