Highlights 

A new seating concept

One of the great strengths in the new Multivan is the folding and easily removable individual seats in the rear, which now make it even easier to create different seating arrangements in just a few simple steps.

With space for up to seven seats, the rear five seats, which are up to 25 per cent lighter, can be moved and removed to suit. With the optional 6-seater package, the second row can be moved 180-degrees to create a conference style seating configuration. The full-width bench seat for the third row has been replaced by individual seats to allow single seats to be removed for complete flexibility.​

Unrivalled sense of space

The new Multivan is more flexible and spacious than ever. In the standard version, the Multivan offers 469 litres of luggage space behind the luggage compartment, extending to 1,844 litres (1,850 litres with panoramic glass roof) when you remove the rear seats. The full cargo capacity up to the front seats is 3,672 litres on the standard wheelbase model, extending to a maximum 4,053 litres in the long wheelbase model fitted with the panoramic glass roof.

Multifunction table

The innovative multifunction table can be moved between any of the seating rows, and for the first time can be used as a centre console between the front seats. Height adjustable, featuring three cup holders and a deep storage compartment, the multi-function table is perfect for working on-the-go or keeping the kids occupied during longer journeys.

Charismatic design

Exterior 

The Multivan has an all-new exterior design that pays homage to the DNA of its predecessors, dating back to the 1985 Transporter T3. 

The classic two-tone finish is underscored in the new Multivan by a chrome band that runs centrally from the headlights to the rear. 

Complemented by a wide selection of fine colours and alloy wheels – you can customise your new Multivan entirely according to your personal taste.

Surround lighting in the door area - as standard on Energetic and Style, optional on Life - projects the Multivan silhouette onto the floor as you enter.

IQ.Light LED matrix headlight 

The new IQ.Light LED matrix headlights with LED daytime running lights aren’t just for looks – they're also very intelligent. 

The IQ.Light detects oncoming traffic and can selectively switch off individual light beams so as not to dazzle oncoming vehicles.

Thanks to innovative camera and radar systems, the dynamic cornering light illuminates the bend even before you turn. 

Illuminated light strip​

An instantly recognisable illuminated light strip is included in the radiator grille as standard on Energetic and Style models. 

Infotainment ​

Digital Cockpit with 26.03 cm (10") colour display and a 25.4 cm (10") infotainment display as standard.

With its 30 colour multicolour ambient lighting system - your vehicle, your lighting design. Available as an option on Life and as standard on Energetic and Style.

The premium sound system from Harman Kardon with 14 high-performance speakers also takes entertainment to a new level. Available as standard on Energetic and as an option on Life and Style.

Comfort becomes first class

High quality materials 

The new Multivan not only drives like a car, but the interior also boasts premium-quality materials. This is symbolised by the newly developed "Dark Woodgrain Optic“ or "Metal Grid“ trim dependant inlays and the two-tone, high-contrast seat upholstery, such as the optional "Savona“ leather version. Another highlight is the ergonomically designed and networked display landscape, which ensures a tidy, sophisticated look in the cockpit.

Panoramic sunroof

Enjoy sky views and an interior bathed in light with the optional two-part tilting panoramic roof with LowE laminated safety glass to reduce incoming thermal radiation by 44 per cent.​

Seat ergonomics and storage 

As well as the flexible and lightweight system, the new Multivan seats have been redesigned to offer superior comfort. Our optional comfort seats are available with memory and massage functions. Comfort meets convenience in the new Multivan with numerous storage compartments for your essential items - whether in the cab, on the doors, under the seats, or on the multifunction table.

Two sliding doors 

The new Multivan is available with two sliding doors as standard - optionally featuring the Virtual Pedal function, which allows them to be operated via a kicking motion for ease of entry.​

Engine options

eHybrid

The new Multivan eHybrid combines a 1.4 TSI 150 PS engine with an 85kW electric motor to produce a combined power output of 160kW / 218 PS, providing silent, zero-emission driving for up to 30⁠2 miles on pure electric, while giving you flexibility to enjoy longer journeys.

Electrified

With a purely electric range of up to 30 miles⁠²​, just connect the charging cable to a socket at home or to a wall box. Using a wall box will mean that the lithium-ion battery is fully charged after about 3.6 hours (3.6kW).

The 1.4 TSI eHybrid engine is available on Life, Style and Energetic models.
