The spectacular BMW M3 is one of the best-known, high-performance super saloons the world has ever seen.
Since it was first introduced in 1985, motoring journalists and driving enthusiasts alike have praised its fine balance of ferocious power, head-turning good looks, sharp handling and everyday usability. Pre-2014 models were also offered as a sleek coupé and glamorous convertible, both of which now bear the M4 moniker.
The latest version was launched in 2014 and is powered by a 425bhp, 3.0-litre twin-turbo engine that will power it to 60mph in little over four seconds. And because it’s based on the award-winning 3 Series saloon, it’s brilliant to live with every day because it offers comfortable, spacious transport on days when you’re not driving hard.
