The BMW X1 is the talented entry-level model in BMW’s X-range of SUVs.
Compact and handsome, it offers a car-like driving experience while giving you the raised ride height and flexible interior crossover drivers demand. It was introduced in 2009 and a second-generation model was launched in 2015, and used examples on sale span both versions.
It’s offered with either front-wheel drive (‘sDrive’) or four-wheel drive (‘xDrive’), with the former offering reduced running costs and improved fuel efficiency for those drivers who never plan to take their X1 off-road. Diesel-engined versions are more popular and make up the majority of used X1 models available, although sporty petrol models are also available.
