Going strong since 2006, the Peugeot Boxer is a flexible and well-specified van that comes with cost-effective diesel engine options.

Design

The Boxer is available in a range of heights (H1 to H3) and lengths (L1 to L4), and trim levels, including Standard and Professional Panel Van or Window Van iterations.

Twin rear doors provide 180-degree-opening (Window Van models also include a heated rear window) and a kerbside sliding door provides additional loading options. Other standard features include power-heated and adjustable twin-lens door mirrors, remotely adjustable headlights, rear fog lamps, twin reversing lights and a high-mounted brake light.

Select the colour that best represents your business from a range of eye-catching solid paint liveries that come as standard, including Bianca White, Volcano Red and Clipper Blue. You can also choose from a variety of optional metallic finishes.

​Inside

The driver benefits from a multi-way-adjustable seat (that also provides adjustable lumbar support) and a tilt-adjustable steering wheel. Next to him or her is a dual passenger position. Other standard features include power-assisted steering, electric front windows and a 12-volt power point. A four-speed heater, four elevated air vents and two side window demisters come as standard too, while air-conditioning is available with Professional trims. Stowage provision includes two glove boxes, expansive door pockets and an overhead compartment.

Ladder frame protection is fitted as standard, while Professional grades feature a full steel bulkhead. The Boxer’s cargo volume ranges from 8,000 litres to 17,000 litres, depending on the model you select, and its load bay comes with a minimum of eight tie-down hooks.

Performance

A 2.2-litre diesel engine is available with a choice of 108bhp, 128bhp and 148bhp power outputs. The latter two options return as much as 38.1mpg and CO₂ emissions as low as 195g/km (L2 models). A 3.0-litre 178bhp diesel unit is also available with L2 iterations and larger, producing a peak torque of 400Nm. All options are paired with six-speed manual transmission.

Technology and safety

The Boxer features a four-speaker sound system (including an FM/AM radio and a CD player), which can be operated using steering wheel-mounted controls. Bluetooth and USB connectivity is available with Professional grades.

Anti-lock Braking System, height-adjustable three-point inertia reel seatbelts, cab door-ajar alerts and a driver’s airbag are among the van’s standard safety features. The vehicle is secured with a Thatcham rolling transponder immobiliser, Thatcham deadlocks, remote central locking, a lockable fuel cap and a clearly discernible VIN on the van’s windscreen.
