New Audi Q7 TFSI e quattro

Bringing you all the power of an Audi SUV combined with plug-in hybrid efficiency and Q7 poise. Now available at Marshall Audi.

The Q7 TFSI e quattro offers an enjoyable electric driving experience combined with a V6 petrol engine for longer drives — ideal for commuters and urban drivers.

Audi’s plug-in hybrid technology offers sustainable, emission-free local driving with low running costs and an electric range of over 40 km in urban areas.

While the Q7 TFSI e quattro delivers for commuters and urban driving, it also begs to be released from the confines of the city. Start-off performance is impressive at 0-62 mph in just under 6 seconds. The permanent all-wheel drive system provides for optimal traction and handling in all driving situations, making the Q7 TFSI e quattro not only practical for everyday use, but manoeuvrable and agile when driving off-road.

The high-end interior is identical to the luxurious non-hybrid Q7 range, with one noticeable difference — the instrument panel changes colour to indicate which driving mode you’re in.

Locally emission-free, efficient, and ideal for daily driving, the Q7 TFSI e doesn’t skimp on performance or luxury.

Range - At least 40km in urban areas in purely electric driving mode. Backed up by a powerful V6 3.0-litre TFSI petrol engine.

Charging - Domestic charging: a full 7kW wallbox charge can be achieved in under 2.5 hours.

Performance

With quattro all-wheel drive and a power output of up to 335kW, the Q7 TFSI e quattro comes in two power levels and achieves 0-62 mph in just under 6 seconds.

Innovative technology provides a variety of driving modes, including a pure-electric setting that forces the Q7 to use all of the remaining charge in the battery before waking the engine; useful for short trips when you know you can plug in again later. There’s also an engine-only mode, which will preserve battery power until you decide to use it.

Use it in Hybrid mode, and it will cleverly combine petrol and electric power using Audi’s latest ‘predictive efficiency’ software which calculates the most efficient way to use the available petrol and electricity, getting you to your destination as cheaply as possible.

    What is a plug-in hybrid?

Plug-in hybrids combine a conventional internal combustion engine (IC engine) and an electric motor supplied with energy from a lithium-ion battery located at the rear. Audi’s smart powertrain management system controls the interaction of the electric motor and the IC engine. It decides when the car will operate in fully electric mode, when energy is recuperated, and when to coast or activate the IC.

    Charging

The battery can be charged at a charging station or power outlet.

Audi offers various solutions for charging at home. The standard mobile charging system can be used with either a 230-volt household outlet or a 400 volt three-phase outlet. The optional “connect” charging system doubles the charging power to as much as 22 kW. Combined with a home energy management system, it offers intelligent functions such as charging when electricity is less expensive or with solar electricity if the home is equipped with a photovoltaic system. You can control all charging processes as well as pre-heating/pre-cooling via your smartphone with the myAudi app.
