Audi’s intense testing programme is designed to ensure years of reliability and build quality, with 12 years of a car’s life simulated over 19 weeks.
The 100th car to go through the rigorous testing was an Audi A4, measuring corrosion protection and durability. Over the 100 INKA tests, Audi Quality Assurance have completed 322,500 testing hours and travelled the equivalent of 621,371 miles, as well as storming through 2,800 mud tests and 1,900 salt tests.
After experiencing each trial, including driving through saltwater and mud, quality inspectors conduct a deep inspection of the car’s individual parts (around 600 components in total) and assess them for any flaws. This process ensures that the excellence of Audi vehicles are maintained, for many years to come.
