The team at Mercedes-Benz have released the perfect vehicle designed for long, comfortable drives through summer days with the gorgeous E-Class Cabriolet.
There's no point in skirting around the issue of the E-Class Cabriolet's design, not when its stunning good looks are the first thing that you will notice. In fact it's so gorgeous to look at that it may cause a distraction to other drivers as you go past. It all starts with the frontage, as the smooth upper level and grill give way to a series of pointed angles that grab the attention and don't let go. Flowing lines travel down to the rear of the E-Class Cabriolet, guiding the eye along the metallic sills and lowered roof.
The new Mercedes-Benz E-Class is not a cabriolet designed to set a new lap time on a track, or to tear up the motorway and leave you in a state of disarray. Instead, it’s an elegant car designed for comfortable journeys. That's why the E-Class Cabriolet features an 'Aircap' and a deflector between the rear seats that serves to direct air over the top of the cabin, limiting buffeting and noise. For extra comfort and luxury, there is the option to have the seats upholstered in the finest Nappa leather.
As with almost all Mercedes-Benz models, the new E-Class Cabriolet comes with a wide range of both petrol and diesel engine options to choose between. Available with the new Mercedes E-Class Cabriolet are an economical diesel, as well as a faster V6 petrol engine which can take you from 0-60mph in under 5.3 seconds. Generally speaking, there's an engine to suit whichever way you wish to drive your E-Class Cabriolet.
Mercedes-Benz is well known for the quality and reliability of its cars, and a large part of that reputation stems from the safety and protection they can offer. The new Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet is no different, and in fact it is the first of the German manufacturer's cabriolets to come fitted with airbags specifically to improve protection in the event of a side impact. The E-Class Cabriolet also comes fitted with a reinforced windscreen and central pillars to increase structural integrity, and driver drowsiness detection and intelligent drive systems are installed too. The latter uses a camera to scan the road for obstructions. The E-Class Convertible carries a five-star crash safety rating from Euro NCAP.
