The latest Audi A4 quattro allroad is receiving praise for its striking ruggedness and off-road ability.
Exclusively made as an estate, buyers will have the choice of the familiar 2.0 TDI diesel with either 148bhp or 187bhp, a 2.0 TFSI petrol with 249bhp and the flagship 3.0 TDI diesel with 268bhp. Two trims – allroad and allroad Sport – are available across the range to offer the option of a sharper, sporty upgrade.
The petrol engine signifies the launch of the first model in the range to come with a brand new ‘quattro with ultra’ part-time four-wheel drive system. However, Audi has confirmed that the rest of the range will come fitted with Quattro ultra system at a later date.

Standing 25mm longer and 16mm wider than the old one, the all new A4 quattro allroad manages to weigh up to 120kg lighter.

Efficiency remains at the forefront of the A4 allroad’s performance too. The 187bhp 2.0 TDI achieves 57.6mpg combined and 129g/km CO2 emissions, while the 2.0-litre turbo petrol, with the fancy part-time four-wheel drive system, manages up to 44.1mpg and emits as low as 146g/km of CO2.
Inside, the Audi A4 allroad has the familiar, stylish feel containing excellent detail inside the executive cabin which boasts build quality and expensive-looking displays. The MMI screen is touchscreen for the first time and responds in a similar fashion to a smartphone. The A4 is also compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and buyers can also opt for LTE mobile connectivity, which turns the car into a wi-fi hotspot.
